November sees the conclusion of the Season After Pentecost and the Church Year with Christ the King Sunday (November 24). This year, Advent, the time of preparation, starts on December 1, continues for four Sundays, and is followed by the celebration of Christmas. Although we celebrate starting on Christmas Eve, the "official" Christmas season really does last for twelve days, December 25 through January 5.
