1 – It is about faith. Yes, it will talk about money, and generosity. But more than that, it talks about mission, service, faith, and heart. “God doesn’t want your money. God wants your heart.”
2 – It uses video segments, following a five-part story about the Donovan family. That makes it engaging and memorable. Everyone gets it. And it allows me to preach a message that directly addresses real issues and choices and challenges that we all face in trying to live out our faith.
3 – It is a starting point for digging deeper, and growing in faith. This is HUGE. The small groups we are organizing are a really good way to help this journey bear fruit, as a group helps you move from the Sunday theme to some Bible connections and personal applications.
I should clarify. I’m looking forward to four of the five weeks. One exception. Week two of the video series is a dream sequence that uses some cringe-worthy stereotypes. I would rather drop that one…but it really is necessary for the rest of the story to make sense, so…well…you’ll just have to show up to see how it goes.
Check out the promo video, sign up for a small group (see link below), and don’t miss this exciting series, September 22 through October 20. “Experiencing the Life that Truly is Life!”
